Dental hygiene
Professional removal of tartar
At our clinic, professional dental hygiene is performed by certified dental hygienists: Ing. Klára Zubková, Tetiana Khrypunova DiS., and Alexandra Koudelová. The perfect result is also ensured by a range of modern technologies: EMS Prophylaxis Master, ultrasound, AirFlow, and rotary polishing tools.
The most advanced Swiss EMS device not only provides top-level care but also ensures maximum comfort during treatment. This device is equipped with a water heating function of up to 40°C, which guarantees a more pleasant feeling during cleaning and minimizes tooth sensitivity. Additionally, it features No-Pain technology, which increases patient comfort by automatically detecting damaged enamel areas or other sensitive spots. The device then adjusts its power to the lowest effective level, ensuring that the treatment is gentle but still highly efficient. Our clinic also uses a special fine powder based on erythritol, which is a key component of Airflow® technology. Erythritol is exceptionally gentle on tooth enamel and gums, ensuring comfortable and non-invasive teeth cleaning. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, it not only effectively removes biofilm but also helps prevent bacterial infections. This combination of gentleness and effectiveness is ideal for patients seeking treatment with maximum care for oral health. Patients can expect a painless procedure and excellent results. We are a certified GBT clinic, which means our hygienists are trained in the most advanced concept of dental hygiene—Guided Biofilm Therapy. This concept focuses on removing biofilm (dental plaque) from the teeth using minimally invasive methods and maximum comfort for the patient. Biofilm is a complex community of bacteria that naturally forms on the surface of the teeth and gums, and if not regularly and effectively removed, it can cause tooth decay, gingivitis, periodontitis, and other oral health problems.
Main principles of GBT:
- Biofilm detection – The biofilm is stained using a special solution, making it visible so the hygienist can precisely identify problem areas.
- Use of Airflow® technology – A mixture of fine powder and water is used to gently and effectively remove biofilm and pigmentation from the tooth surface, interdental spaces, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Minimally invasive – GBT minimizes the use of traditional tools, such as rotary polishing devices, and also utilizes No-Pain technology.
- Prevention and individualization – Part of GBT involves educating the patient on the importance of regular hygiene and how to perform it at home. The selection of appropriate dental aids and instruction on their use is also included.
Benefits of GBT:
- Painlessness and comfort – The treatment is much more pleasant for patients compared to traditional dental hygiene methods.
- Effectiveness – Precise removal of biofilm improves prevention of tooth decay and gum disease.
- Gentleness to teeth and gums – GBT reduces the risk of damage to both hard and soft tissues in the mouth.
Our dental hygiene services also include fluoride treatment, which helps strengthen tooth enamel and protect it from tooth decay. We also offer treatment for sensitive tooth necks, which is an ideal solution for patients who suffer from pain when in contact with hot or cold food and drinks.
The entire procedure can be performed under local anesthesia at the patient’s request, ensuring maximum comfort for even the most sensitive individuals. Your comfort and health are our priorities.
Special emphasis is always placed on instructions: the patients will learn how to properly clean their teeth to achieve the best results, and which dental tools are most suitable for them. After the removal of tooth stains and tartar, fluoride treatment can be applied to increase resistance to decay.
