Dental implantats

Teeth are a very important factor in defining the quality of life. A dazzling smile, effective mastication as well as clear enunciation to a great extent influence the social and psychological state of a person. The apparent willingness to have healthy teeth is the main reason for the rapid development of the relatively new direction of dentistry, implant dentistry.

In recent years implantation has become quite a common phenomenon. Though the first basic research in the field was conducted by Dr. Branemark only forty years ago, now implant dentistry can be considered to be an intrinsic part of practice for almost every dental surgeon. Decades full of experiments and speculations, thousands of publications in the specialized journal and the constant technological development enabled the ample opportunities of modern implant dentistry. It goes without saying that implantation is the best possible solution in the case of loss of one, several or even all teeth. In each and every case it is possible to choose the optimal implant considering the type, form and size of the defect as well as the financial means of a patient.

We use in our work the cutting-edge implantation systems produced by world leading companies such as Straumann ® (Switzerland), Nobel Biocare ® (Sweden-USA), Alpha-Bio ® (Israel). Since July 2014, we offer our patients and collaborating dentists reliable and inexpensive Swiss implants Camlog and Conelog.

Nobel Biocare implants

Swedish-American company Nobel Biocare ® is one of the leading companies in the sphere of dental implantation, whose products enable implantation even in the most difficult clinical cases. Dr. Branemark, the founding father of dental implantology and modern prosthetics launched the company more than 30 years ago. Nobel Biocare is officially cooperating with more than 50 academic centers and 600 independent researchers from all over the world.

The company has created a unique biocompatible surface, TiUltra ®, for fast osseointegration and implant engraftment. TiUltra is an ultra-hydrophilic, multizone, anodized implant surface with a gradual topography from collar to apex.

The companies’ cutting-edge innovations include also Xeal abutment technology. Dense soft-tissue contact with an abutment can act as a barrier that protects the underlying bone. This is the basis for long-term tissue health and stability.

Due to the combination of various types of implants, abutments and prosthetic constructions Nobel Biocare offers an astonishing range of solutions and possibilities.

Conelog implants

CAMLOG® and CONELOG® implants are characterized by their very high biotolerability. They are made of pure titanium or ceramic and are suitable for those with allergies.

Implant dentistry has become a firmly established discipline over the last 30 years. Implant dentistry was scientifically recognized by the German Association for Dental and Oral Medicine (DGZMK) in 1982. Long-term studies have demonstrated high success rates.

9 million Camlog and Conelog implants are used worldwide every year (4 million in Europe, 1,3 million in Germany).

Straumann implants

The Swiss Corporation Straumann ® is widely known as a world leader in implantation and tissue regeneration. Furthermore, it defines the tendencies of the future development of dental implantation and its implants are one the most widely used in the world. Being a pioneer in its field, Straumann is constantly innovating and improving its products and approaches. The slogan of the company ”Simply doing more” reflects the its attentive attitude towards its products and expresses meticulous attention which is paid to meet all the demands of both dentists and patients.

Every component of Straumann Dental Implant System ® is made in compliance with high quality standards, which guarantees safety and reliability.

Alpha-Bio implants

Implants Alpha-Bio TEC ® (Israel) offer the ideal combination of price and quality.

Implants Alpha-Bio ® are made of resilient, firm and highly biocompatible material (titanium type TI-6AI-4V ELI). The high quality of this implantation system has been proved both by the numerous experiments conducted in this field and by many years of clinical experience. The Alpha-Bio Corporation produces a number of reliable certified implants, including its spiral model Alpha-Bio SPI ®. Due to the unique construction of its spirals, the implant receives exceptional stability. This can hardly be overestimated especially in case of implantation just after tooth extraction, absence of necessary for the operation bone or immediate loading. The special porous surface of this model provides perfect adhesion with bone cells enabling full and rapid integration with the bone tissue.

Special attention is paid to the functionality and aesthetics of the prosthetic constructions fixed on implants Alpha-Bio. A whole construction could either be cemented, labored or detachable.

FAQ

When Is Implantation Possible?

The conventional requirement for implant placement is bone sufficiency. Nevertheless, bone insufficiency could be easily corrected by osteoplastic surgery. There is a broad variety of procedures intended to enhance the bone volume, including sinus lifting, guided tissue regeneration, bone blocks grafting etc. The final decision is always made on a case by case basis.

If a patient pays necessary attention to his/her oral hygiene, periodontitis does not prevent implantation. It goes without saying that implantation should be preceded by oral cavity sanation (including not only dental tartar removal but also caries and periodontal treatment).

How Is Implantation carried out?

Dental implantation starts with the complex preliminary examination of a patient: filling in the questionnaire, clinical and X-ray diagnosis. The results received will help to define whether the implantation is possible and what the necessary conditions are. Simultaneously, the detailed treatment plan is being prepared encompassing procedures from oral cavity hygiene to producing prosthetic constructions on the placed implants.

Modern anesthetics and a possibility of sedation make implantation a complexly painless procedure. The operation is conducted in a few steps: bone tissue opening, implant placement, shaping bone socket. After the procedure is finished, the wound is stitched up. It takes approximately 30 minutes to place one implant.

We are proud to draw your attention to the fact that we also use the latest techniques of implant placement without making any incision whenever possible.

Conventional Dentures and its Disadvantages

Artificial crowns, bridges, and removable and irremovable dental sets often replace formerly missing teeth. However, some of these solutions require the preparation of the healthy adjacent teeth so the necessary support of the whole construction can be achieved. Moreover, these methods are not able to replace the missing root, and could make other teeth overloaded. The gap in a jaw remains unfilled resulting in gradual bone decrease, so called bone atrophy.

Common removable dentures with their attachments lead to the overload of the adjacent teeth, which they are supported by. That’s why there is a high risk of their premature loss. The pressure of these dentures on the mucous causes atrophy of the underlying bone tissue. On top of this, many patients using removable dentures are not fully satisfied either with their functional characteristics or comfort level. Removable dentures should be regularly corrected by a dentist, which causes additional inconvenience to a patient.

So is not it high time you decided in favour of implantation?
